About the position

As a Program Manager at Excelacom, you will play a pivotal role in addressing complex business, technology, and operational challenges faced by our clients in the Communications and Media sectors. Your primary responsibility will be to decompose key business problems, identify value areas, and structure and implement sophisticated technology solutions tailored to client needs. You will be expected to create innovative and differentiated offerings that align with market demands and technological advancements, ensuring that our solutions remain relevant and effective. In this role, you will deliver advisory services to senior management and above, supporting technology-enabled business transformations. You will manage and deliver technology projects, which may include application development, integration, data migration, and testing for IT organizations. Daily interactions with client staff will be essential to understand their operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement within their technology landscape. Your responsibilities will also include leveraging Excelacom's domestic and international assets to introduce new ideas to clients, developing business cases and implementation roadmaps to support investment decisions, and providing project management and change management support for both large and small-scale transformation projects. You will be tasked with identifying and qualifying additional business opportunities, preparing solutions and proposals for clients, and maintaining program plans using tools like Smartsheets. Additionally, you will drive program calls, establish timelines, assist the Product Owner with stakeholder engagement, and coordinate communications and training materials for employees and customers. Facilitating deployment and post-deployment activities will also be part of your duties, ensuring a smooth transition and implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Decompose key business problems to identify value areas and structure and implement complex technology solutions for the client.
  • Create innovative and differentiated offerings, staying relevant and in sync with market demand and technology evolution.
  • Deliver advisory services to Senior Management and above in support of technology-enabled business changes.
  • Manage and deliver technology projects including application development, integration, data migration, testing, etc. for IT organizations.
  • Meet with client staff on a daily basis to understand key issues with how they operate today and identify opportunities for improvement in their operations and technology landscape.
  • Leverage Excelacom's domestic and international assets and expertise to bring new ideas to clients.
  • Support the development of improved capabilities in clients across business processes, people, and technology.
  • Develop business cases and implementation roadmaps to support investment decisions.
  • Provide project management and change management support on large- or small-scale transformation projects.
  • Identify and qualify additional business opportunities.
  • Prepare solutions and proposals and present to clients.
  • Create and maintain program plans (smartsheets).
  • Drive program calls and establish program timelines.
  • Assist PO with stakeholder engagement and divisional program management office (DPMO).
  • Work with agile release train members to slot and groom user stories.
  • Coordinate employee/customer communications and training articles.
  • Facilitate deployment and post-deployment activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field.
  • Prior consulting experience in an agile environment with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead project working groups and possesses strong facilitation and data gathering skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical personnel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred.
  • Past success in generating new business with existing clients.
  • Good time management skills.
