About the position

The Program Manager for US Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing certification processes and plans for Combat System Certification (CPS). This role involves leading working groups, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The Program Manager will also represent SSP/SPC in interactions with field activities and contractors, addressing complex issues related to certification and qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee CPS certification processes and plans.
  • Lead the Certification and Qualification Working Group for focused discussions on certification topics.
  • Establish planning and schedule milestones for certification readiness assessments.
  • Coordinate and track CPS certification artifacts and progression to certification.
  • Lead various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups, and review board meetings to support certification efforts.
  • Coordinate with Platform, Platform Combat System, Material certification, Training certification, and Tactical qualification leads.
  • Represent SSP/SPC in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
