About the position

The Program Manager will oversee the operations of the SAMHSA-funded REACH 2.0 program, aimed at increasing the number of medical students and residents trained as addiction specialists for racial and ethnic minoritized populations. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of program activities and events.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic plans and day-to-day activities for the project under the direction of the PI.
  • Supervise the project coordinator.
  • Lead interdepartmental teams to carry out project activities.
  • Manage recruitment, application, and selection processes of scholars and mentors.
  • Oversee logistics and meeting planning for Advisory Board and partners.
  • Implement in-person and virtual scholar events including monthly webinars.
  • Communicate with scholars, mentors, and others involved in projects.
  • Oversee work of contracted vendors.
  • Attend grant recipient meetings and trainings with the Principal Investigator.
  • Ensure a welcoming and customer-service culture to support all scholars, mentors, and partners participating in the program.
  • Create and update website content regularly and ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Lead outreach and recruitment strategies including social media campaigns and coordinate activities with the communications coordinator.
  • Manage the program budget and coordinate check disbursements with the finance team.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and measures with the program evaluator.
  • Support and submit timely and accurate required reporting under the direction of the PI to SAMHSA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • 5 years' experience in program administration, especially related to professional and leadership development programs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Experience with education events/meeting planning.
  • Knowledgeable about outreach and social media strategies.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles or health equity.
  • Experience working on federally funded grant programs preferred.
  • Experience with academic and professional medical programs or culture a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to travel 1-2 times annually (or more if needed to support and further program dissemination).
  • Knowledge of career and professional development programs.
