About the position

The Program Manager is a full-time leader at TEACH, responsible for overseeing various school-based projects. This role requires expertise in TEACH's services and operations, acting as a liaison between on-site instructors and the executive team. Program Managers lead projects from planning through implementation and evaluation, ensuring high-quality programs that help students achieve their academic goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with experience in urban K-12 education.

Responsibilities

  • Manage TEACH programs at school and non-profit sites across Philadelphia and New Jersey.
  • Oversee instructors at multiple school sites, providing observation and coaching on academics and soft skills.
  • Lead monthly team check-ins with instructors.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for instructor inquiries and logistical problem-solving.
  • Coordinate program implementation, including site visits, trainings, and data collection.
  • Build strong relationships with partner liaisons for effective communication and feedback.
  • Monitor programming to ensure lessons are rigorous and student-centered.
  • Prepare and facilitate professional development sessions for instructors and partners.
  • Complete data-driven program reports to evaluate successes and make future recommendations.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions about hiring, recruiting, and company growth.

Requirements

  • Access to a car and willingness to travel to school/program sites daily.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in K-12 schools.
  • Proven experience in people management, including overseeing and mentoring team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and overseeing multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently and autonomously, knowing when to seek guidance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ACT/SAT Test Prep and/or 3rd-8th Grade Math.
  • Background working in Philadelphia or Camden schools.
