About the position

The Program Manager will provide lead programmatic support for F/A-18 SE FMS Cases and some Domestic F/A-18 PSE IPTs at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. This role includes serving as a deputy program manager for F/A-18 PSE SEPO under the PEO(T) Division within the Support Equipment Department, focusing on resource management, funding coordination, and acquisition strategy development.

Responsibilities

• Identify resource requirements for life-cycle management of a program.
• Coordinate with customers and business financial managers to ensure program funding requirements are met.
• Develop acquisition strategies to meet program objectives or goals.
• Direct the development of a program plan.
• Discuss administrative and managerial issues to resolve and defend program or project objectives.

Requirements

• Experience in program management within a defense or aerospace context.
• Strong understanding of funding and resource management.
• Ability to develop and implement acquisition strategies.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with F/A-18 programs or similar military aircraft.
• Knowledge of life-cycle management processes.
• Familiarity with government contracting and procurement processes.
