About the position

The Program Manager at Westfall Technik is responsible for managing and coordinating customer projects across various sites, ensuring successful project delivery from award through production launch. This role involves collaboration with multiple teams, including Sales, Quoting, Tooling, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service, to drive projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate customer projects from award through production launch.
  • Deliver new projects through all phases of development and production.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, communication plans, and action trackers for all projects.
  • Schedule and manage all customer and internal/site meetings as required.
  • Consult with customer's technical personnel on product design, materials selection, and quality requirements.
  • Schedule and execute customer validations in conjunction with manufacturing and quality teams.
  • Work with external suppliers to drive project success and track vendor activities.
  • Estimate or revise costs on existing or new molding/assembly programs.
  • Track all active projects and communicate status to senior management.
  • Facilitate technical discussions to determine root causes of technical issues.
  • Initiate and drive RFQs for tooling purchases and track delivery of all purchases related to tooling or qualifications.
  • Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction by building lasting client relationships.
  • Establish, track, and report on performance to project budgets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Program Management preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management in a GMP/regulated environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of injection molding tooling, processing, quality, materials, or product design.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management tools/processes, such as Microsoft Project and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and Solid Model CAD experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in medical device and consumer packaging industries.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 procedures and policies.
