About the position

The Program Manager at JTEKT Column Systems North America is responsible for managing complex program launches across multiple disciplines to ensure that program goals, including product cost, launch budget, and milestone timing, are met. This role involves coordinating resources, preparing key documentation, leading cross-functional teams, and serving as the primary liaison with customers and sales teams. The position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, cost efficiency, and adherence to established procedures and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex program launches to meet goals and objectives.
• Prepare, maintain, track, and review key APQP documentation.
• Lead cross-functional activities to resolve program-related issues.
• Provide day-to-day technical and professional coordination of plant resources.
• Create, evaluate, and modify procedures for program delivery.
• Ensure timely APQP and audit of all launch activities.
• Manage product cost and overall program launch budgets.
• Prepare status reports and conduct regular program reviews with teams and management.
• Track and measure performance against program objectives.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of customer-specific documents.
• Serve as the principal point of contact with sales and customers.
• Coordinate design reviews and Make/Buy analysis.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or five years of related program management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and personal relationship skills.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Experience with AS 400 or other ERP/MRP database systems.
• PMP certification or demonstrated equivalent experience.
