About the position

The Program Manager will play a crucial role in implementing standardized and innovative IT services across the Department of the Air Force. This position involves overseeing the modernization of base area networks to an as-a-Service model, ensuring interoperability with joint network systems, and enhancing access to critical data for high-bandwidth use cases. The Program Manager will collaborate with program officials, the BIM program office, and various vendors to deliver effective network solutions that support the Department's capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of standardized, innovative, and agile information technology services across the Department of the Air Force.
• Oversee the modernization of base area networks to an as-a-Service model, ensuring continued interoperability with joint network systems.
• Collaborate with program officials, the BIM program office, and vendors to deliver networks that support and drive Department of the Air Force capabilities.
• Deploy enterprise IT services according to user community assessment and measured facility demand.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT service deployment and management.
• Demonstrated expertise in network modernization and interoperability.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT acquisitions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive alignment of IT spend to facilities planning and standardize the delivery approach for the enterprise.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience in leading large-scale IT modernization initiatives.
