About the position

The Program Manager at RHA Health Services is responsible for overseeing the IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) programs and operations at various locations. This role involves managing a team, coordinating services, and ensuring the implementation of individual support plans for clients with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. The Program Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals served by the organization through effective program management and staff training.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the implementation of the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
  • Analyze and summarize the status of progress by completing monthly service reviews and recommending changes as appropriate.
  • Communicate regularly with the Independent Support Coordinator and other members of the support circle regarding amendments to the ISP.
  • Ensure all aspects of residential activity, including home appearance, leisure materials, cleanliness, and adequate staffing, are operating smoothly.
  • Document all communication using the Program Manager Contact Notes Form.
  • Ensure no deficiencies are noted from State and Federal Inspection & Survey teams.
  • Conduct regular announced and unannounced visits to residential homes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide coverage for shortages of direct support personnel while maintaining management duties.
  • Assist in on-call rotation as specified by the Administrator, including weekends and holidays.
  • Train and in-service direct care staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in supervising and managing programs for persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to lift between 20 and 50 pounds and meet the physical requirements of performing CPR.
  • Supervisory/management experience and experience writing person-centered plans preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years experience working with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulations related to service offerings.
