About the position

The Program Manager at Teledyne Technologies plays a crucial role in ensuring effective communication and coordination between the company and its clients. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial order receipt to final delivery, while managing internal issues and aligning priorities across various teams. The Program Manager focuses on delivering both new and existing products on time and within budget, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, plan, schedule, and monitor the progress of projects from order receipt through shipment.
  • Develop comprehensive schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas, prioritizing tasks based on customer needs.
  • Administer procedures and budgets to meet contractual obligations, focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Assess project status and associated risks, devise recovery plans, and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
  • Oversee adherence to established procedures to maintain high-quality standards and meet planned goals.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors to evaluate task statuses and provide updates to customers and executive leadership.
  • Identify and address obstacles hindering goal achievement, offering solutions or seeking assistance as needed.
  • Present budgetary recommendations and engage with senior management on functional areas and customer matters.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, potentially overseeing functional areas without direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in the RF/Aerospace industry.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in Program or Project Management, preferably in the RF/Microwave industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Project, and general ERP/MRP software knowledge.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining/maintaining government security clearance.
