About the position

The Program Manager at Berkshire Meadows is responsible for leading a dynamic team in providing residential, special education, and day habilitation services for children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental disabilities. This role emphasizes a positive and energetic approach to support individuals with significant cognitive, physical, and medical disabilities in a safe and inclusive environment. The position requires effective communication, leadership, and advocacy for residents while maintaining staff schedules and facilitating progress on individual goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop daily routines for one of the residences.
  • Facilitate progress on goals, ADLs, recreation, and leisure skills in a residential setting.
  • Provide leadership to staff and residents.
  • Maintain staff schedules.
  • Write progress reports and develop strategies to implement IEPs.
  • Participate in case management and team meetings.
  • Advocate for the residents and maintain a safe home environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field, or at least 4 years experience in the Human Services/MR field plus supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with Behavior plan implementation is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Must have a valid driver's license (MA, NY or CT).
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills in a second language other than English.
