About the position

The Program Manager will serve in the SYSCOM Security Cooperation Department of the Naval Air Systems Command HQ-OSF, overseeing the life-cycle management of assigned programs. This role involves identifying resource requirements, integrating them with acquisition plans, and providing management direction to team members. The position requires strong communication skills for collaboration with international partners and a solid understanding of Foreign Military Sales programs and defense acquisition processes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and defend resource requirements for life-cycle management of assigned programs.
  • Integrate resource requirements with multi-year acquisition and support plans to develop POM and budget inputs.
  • Provide management direction to all IPT members and personnel supporting the assigned program.
  • Analyze needs and synthesize requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and planning.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established timeframes.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with international communication for establishing requirements and executing programs.
  • Understanding of Foreign Military Sales programs including disclosure and case execution.
  • Familiarity with defense acquisition and program execution processes.
