About the position

The Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing an Expanded Learning Program at a school site, ensuring effective operations and compliance with various regulations. This role involves collaboration with the Coordinator to develop and execute program plans, manage budgets, and supervise staff, all while supporting the mission of the Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, management, and direction to staff both in-person and virtually.
  • Communicate regularly with the Coordinator regarding program operations and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Manage program goals related to enrollment, retention, completion, placement, instructor qualifications, and family satisfaction.
  • Build collaborative partnerships essential to the Center's strategic plan.
  • Ensure financial goals are met, including managing expenses and payroll.
  • Engage stakeholders in the after school program to promote youth success.
  • Report any high-risk employee/student issues to the Coordinator promptly.
  • Make recommendations for annual plans and fiscal budgets for programs.
  • Assist in identifying potential future leaders within the Center.
  • Submit required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in the selection, motivation, and evaluation of staff.
  • Monitor maintenance of equipment and supplies, ensuring workspaces are clean and in good repair.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Implement Human Resources policies consistently and fairly.

Requirements

  • Preferred bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 1 year of experience in youth development or as a Team Leader or manager.
  • Demonstrated success in fiscal management.
  • Ability to manage a results-oriented team.
  • Effectiveness in fostering collaboration among team members.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with local communities and external groups.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
