About the position

The Program Manager at Texas Tech University is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing wellness programs for medical students at the Permian Basin campus. This role involves coordinating events, managing clinical schedules, and ensuring students meet all requirements for clinical rotations. The Program Manager will also assist with scholarship processes and participate in cross-campus meetings to maintain consistency across campuses.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement the medical student wellness program for the Permian Basin campus.
• Coordinate 3rd-year medical student events and schedules, including social events and orientation.
• Build and update the MS3 clinical schedule and communicate with students and clinical departments.
• Credential students for clinical rotation sites and ensure all requirements are met.
• Identify housing and payment processes for students on rural rotations.
• Process scholarships and participate on the scholarship committee.
• Assist with test proctoring and attend regular cross-campus meetings.
• Attend yearly regional and national conferences.
• Assist the Senior Director of Student Affairs with meetings and scheduling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects.
• Experience training in a group setting, both in person and virtual.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to adapt content to different learning needs.
• Ability to foster a positive environment and build professional relationships with students.
• Experience in excellent customer service and project management.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative nature.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience continuously assessing the needs of clients/students to develop or update processes.
• Ability to create efficient procedures and assess efficiency.
