About the position

Savvee Consulting Inc is seeking to hire a Program Manager to support our federal client in a hybrid work model of onsite/telework. The client is located in Bethesda, MD. Candidates must be experienced in leading and managing a team, have a strong understanding and experience of IT Portfolio Management, Capital Planning Investment Control (CPIC), IT Investment Management, Enterprise Architecture (EA), and able to provide exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness. This position is contingent upon award of contract. As the Program Manager, you will serve as the team's main point of contact and oversee overall contract performance. You will be responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects, providing a single point of contact for those projects. This includes taking projects from original concept through final implementation, interfacing with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. You will define project scope and objectives, develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, POA&Ms, and status reports. Conducting project team meetings will be a key responsibility, as you will be responsible for project tracking and analysis, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and reviewing project deliverables. You will manage the integration of contract tasks and track and review contractual deliverables, providing strategic, technical, and analytical guidance to the project team. Additionally, you will recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems, advising senior leadership on IT strategic work. Managing the IT Portfolio Management, CPIC, and Enterprise Architecture teams will be essential to ensure horizontal integration and that milestones and deliverables are met. You will provide day-to-day oversight of the team, including team scheduling and timekeeping, work distribution, and deliverable reviews and submissions. Addressing, resolving, and mentoring staff concerns will be part of your role, along with providing timely, constructive feedback on their performance and assisting in annual reviews of staff. Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client is crucial, as is demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's Degree - MBA in IT Management or Program/Project Management
  • Eight or more years of IT Program Management Experience in Technology Solution Delivery
  • Expertise in Agile Methodologies and Project Management
  • Experienced with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice-to-haves

  • A PMP certification (PgMP highly preferred)
