About the position

The Program Manager at Communications & Power Industries LLC is responsible for overseeing complex technical programs, ensuring they meet key performance indicators related to cost, schedule, and technical performance. This role involves budget management, risk management, and active participation in program reviews with customers. The Program Manager will also prepare proposals and business plans, manage subcontractor and material resources, and ensure that work aligns with baseline plans to meet program schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive key performance indicators of cost, schedule, and technical performance of a complex technical program.
  • Oversee budget management and financial execution of the program.
  • Develop and maintain an active and proactive risk management program.
  • Participate in program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Prepare proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, specifications, and operating budgets.
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, or requests for a ROM.
  • Define, develop, and implement cohesive and integrated program/product schedules and business plans.
  • Ensure work is accomplished to baseline plans to meet program/product schedules.
  • Conduct reviews on products/programs to identify issues and develop corrective actions.
  • Identify scope changes and develop positions for equitable cost and schedule adjustments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or master's degree plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense clearance.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or engineering is highly preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft desktop software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) is required.
  • Ability to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Ability to understand and analyze program financial data.
  • Ability to lead others in team building, conflict resolution, motivation, leadership, and risk management.
  • Ability to develop and execute proposal plans and strategies.
