About the position

The Program Manager at Gooch & Housego (G&H) is responsible for leading the development and management of both new and existing programs within the company. This role focuses on strategic projects, ensuring the timely delivery of quality products while managing costs and improving efficiencies. The Program Manager will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to drive project success in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the development of new programs through initial samples and production runs.
• Assist in providing customer quotes and collaborate with Applications Engineers on tooling, materials, and packaging selections.
• Manage program schedules and prepare necessary internal documentation, including Work Instructions and Quality Plans.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce scrap and cycle times.
• Create and manipulate CAD drawings to support program requirements.
• Oversee project timelines, ensuring delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Engage with suppliers to manage tooling specifications and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Molding, Machining, etc.) to ensure adherence to process parameters.
• Proactively identify and address safety issues in the workplace.

Requirements

• BS in related field, preferably Engineering field and/or related experience
• Minimum 3 Years of Experience in Program Management, Injection Molding and Metrology
• Intermediate proficiency in Solidworks and plastic injection molding.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Access).
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing processes.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills.
