About the position

The Program Manager will oversee project and portfolio management for approved EPMO projects at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. This role involves mentoring business leaders in project planning, execution, and completion while ensuring adherence to budget and timelines. The Program Manager will advocate for best practices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to maximize business value.

Responsibilities

  • Provide directional project and portfolio management for approved EPMO projects.
  • Act as a mentor and coach for Business Leaders in planning, executing, and completing projects.
  • Advocate for industry best practices to drive innovation and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure communication and transparency on Priority Business Actions (PBA).
  • Provide coaching and support to PBA owners and sponsors on project delivery framework and standards.
  • Ensure PBA objectives are clearly defined and execution plans are in place.
  • Meet all project-related internal and external audit requirements.
  • Lead reporting of planned, actual, and projected PBA efforts.
  • Create and publish required project artifacts with PBA sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Centralize and consistently report on the progress of approved projects.
  • Participate in Quarterly Portfolio Value Assessments with Business Units.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or IT related field or equivalent training/experience.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or other project management/Agile (Scrum) related certifications preferred.
  • Five years of leadership experience managing a range of small-to-large projects in Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience in the financial services industry managing diverse teams.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external partners.
  • Experience mentoring and training others in project delivery.
  • Ability to track financial data and implications of project delivery accurately.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and project management tools like Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft Project, and Service Now.
