About the position

The Program Manager for Subcontracts at Textron Systems is responsible for overseeing the management of Defense Weapon System subcontractors. This role requires extensive experience in Program and Integrated Supply Chain Management, with a focus on ensuring the financial, technical, and schedule performance of critical program subcontractors. The position demands collaboration with various teams to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements while adhering to quality certification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial, technical, and schedule performance of all critical program subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Supply Chain Organization to establish and qualify key suppliers.
  • Perform Control Account Manager responsibilities for program subcontract management budget, including development of budgetary baseline and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with development team/Program Management to ensure DFx features are embedded in the product being procured.
  • Oversee product qualification processes such as PRR, First Article Test, Manufacturing Prove-Out, and Test Prove-Out.
  • Work within various program phases including prototype development, qualification, and production programs.
  • Follow management program processes to ensure execution based on AS9100 Quality certification requirements.
  • Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements.
  • Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans.
  • Function as the primary company subcontract interface to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Greater than 10 years of experience in management of Defense Weapon System subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated advanced level capabilities in Program and Integrated Supply Chain Management.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience evaluating program risks and opportunities.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills.
  • Prior experience working on Military Weapons System Development.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Science.

  • Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Aerospace Industry Experience.
  • Strong Supply chain work experience.
  • Working knowledge of FARs and DFARs.
