About the position

The Program Officer for Community Investment at Innovia Foundation is responsible for overseeing the foundation's grant and scholarship processes, ensuring alignment with its mission to ignite generosity that transforms lives and communities. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate effective grantmaking and scholarship management, while also representing the foundation at community events and fostering relationships with nonprofits and donors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Innovia's grantmaking processes, ensuring compliance with policies and alignment with the foundation's mission.
  • Coordinate internal teams for clear communication and efficient grantmaking.
  • Manage internal and external grant committees, facilitating review meetings.
  • Utilize grant software for managing applications, due diligence, and correspondence.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with nonprofits, conducting site visits as needed.
  • Summarize and report grant outcomes to stakeholders, including donors and the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure scholarship programs comply with policies and provide excellent customer service to donors and recipients.
  • Manage scholarship committees and ensure timely processing of applications and awards.
  • Represent Innovia at community events and on assigned committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years' experience in philanthropy, community engagement, or program planning/implementation/evaluation
  • Excellent oral, written, and computer skills, including database management
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience managing project teams with diverse skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Project management and/or grant management experience
  • Experience working with youth and young adults
  • Experience in a nonprofit or educational institution
