About the position

The Program Operations Analyst Lead (ARDAP) at Bowhead is a pivotal role focused on managing a team of subject matter experts and IT professionals in support of the Army Data and Analytics Platform (ARDAP) initiative. This position is located at Fort Belvoir, VA, and is characterized by a fast-paced environment where the lead will be responsible for advising executive-level personnel on various financial, technical, and high-level policy matters. The role requires a blend of technical acumen and leadership skills to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. In this position, the Program Operations Analyst Lead will instruct, direct, and review the work of project engineers, ensuring that all design documents meet the necessary technical specifications and standards. The lead will be accountable for the successful completion of assigned engineering projects, adhering to budgetary constraints and scheduling guidelines. This role involves leading a diverse group of engineers, analysts, and technicians throughout the project lifecycle, while also providing ongoing leadership within specific technical areas related to telecommunications, such as network design, engineering, implementation, and user support. Although the Program Operations Analyst Lead does not have formal supervisory responsibilities, they will play a crucial role in providing input for team member performance appraisals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and external contacts is essential, as is the capacity to exercise good judgment and strong interpersonal skills, whether working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Instructing, directing, and checking the work of other project engineers.
  • Reviewing design documents and ensuring technical specifications and designs are correct.
  • Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
  • Leading a group of engineers, analysts, and/or technicians assigned for the duration of a project or may function as ongoing lead within a group of engineers associated with one or more technical areas within the telecom function.
  • Providing input for (project) team member performance appraisals.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Five (5+) years of relevant experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
