About the position

The Program Operations Coordinator at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) plays a crucial role in supporting the operational functions of the School of Nursing. This position is designed for individuals who can apply professional concepts to conduct analytical studies or projects that address a variety of policy, research, and procedural issues. The coordinator will be responsible for fully analyzing issues and problems, gathering data and information, evaluating alternatives, and making sound recommendations. This role is essential in ensuring that the School of Nursing continues to foster excellence, diversity, and innovation in its operations. The UCSF School of Nursing is a vital part of a world-renowned health sciences campus, with over 130 faculty members and more than 500 students from around the globe. The coordinator will work closely with faculty and staff to support the School's mission of preparing leaders in patient care, research, health policy, and academia. The position requires a strong ability to multi-task and manage demanding timeframes, as well as a keen attention to detail when analyzing and synthesizing large amounts of data. The coordinator will also need to demonstrate sound judgment in responding to various issues and concerns, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders. This is a one-year contract position that offers a competitive salary range of $55,700 to $90,000, depending on experience and internal equity. The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment that values professionalism, respect, integrity, diversity, and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical studies or projects of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Fully analyze issues and problems, gathering data and information.
  • Evaluate alternatives and make sound recommendations.
  • Support the operational functions of the School of Nursing.
  • Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience.
  • Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research, and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.

Nice-to-haves
