About the position

The Program Planner role at Lockheed Martin Space involves supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Mk7 Program by developing and analyzing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to monitor progress and assess program status. This position is crucial for ensuring compliance with program performance management and facilitating effective communication with various stakeholders, including program management and customers. Responsibilities

  • Develop, status, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to monitor progress and assess program status.
  • Ensure established program baseline control processes are followed and oversee business rhythms required to accomplish program control, analyses, and forecasting objectives.
  • Use critical path methodology, risk analysis, and problem resolution to mitigate delays/issues that arise, communicate schedule impacts, and propose corrective actions to applicable program partners.
  • Synchronize cost/schedule integration in support of Earned Value requirements and generate schedule metrics and reports related to execution of the Program.
  • Prepare and deliver schedule presentations to Program Management, Executive Management, or Customer Management.
  • Establish and conduct data and process quality assessments of planning products and prepare for surveillance reviews to ensure compliance with program performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-3 years of professional experience
  • Experience with Critical Path Methodology
  • Strong communication, writing & presentation skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Project, Open Plan, P6, or other planning tools, and Excel
  • US Citizenship required for obtaining a TOP SECRET clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
  • Prefer 3+ years of professional work experience
  • Experience analyzing data
  • Familiarity with a scheduling tool such as MS Project or Open Plan Professional
  • Customer service experience
  • Presentation experience
  • Familiarity with formulas and macros in Excel
  • Familiarity with Tableau
  • Strong presentation skills to communicate with the Customer
  • Proficiency with Earned Value Management
  • Experience producing and delivering IPMR CDRLs (Integrated Program Management Report and Contract Deliverable Requirements List)
