About the position

The Program Planning Analyst/Scheduler at Northrop Grumman will be part of the Scheduling Center of Excellence, focusing on developing and maintaining program schedules within the Mission Systems Sector. This role involves interfacing with various teams to create Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), ensuring compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) guidelines, and supporting program execution through effective planning and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) incorporating all program scope and milestones.
  • Interface with Program Managers, Engineering, Operations, and Business Management to develop program plans and schedules.
  • Analyze forecast date impacts and identify internal and external task dependencies.
  • Support business management in developing estimates to complete based on resource requirements for scheduled tasks.
  • Manage status updates and develop internal and external reports on program status.
  • Identify risks impacting the achievability of program schedule requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable EVMS Guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience or a Master's degree with some related experience.
  • Will consider 6 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Program scheduling experience using Microsoft Project, Oracle P6, Deltek Open Plan or other related scheduling tools.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • The ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 2 years program scheduling experience using Microsoft Project, Oracle P6, Deltek Open Plan or other related scheduling tools.
  • Experience using Schedule Health Analysis tools and Schedule Risk Assessment tools.
  • Working knowledge of EVMS guidelines and processes.
