About the position

EPS Corporation is seeking a Program/Project Manager to oversee new projects and recommend modernization for the technical infrastructure of the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations in Quantico, VA. The Program Manager (PM-TE) will be responsible for leading a multi-functional team of technical experts who support distributed information management systems. This role involves providing systems engineering and computer system environment analysis, planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of these systems. The PM-TE will plan and implement necessary changes and upgrades to the systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization. In this position, the Program/Project Manager will coordinate and support troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems and system anomalies. They will be responsible for task assignment, management, and providing hands-on system engineering assistance to maintain and integrate supported systems. Specific tasks include providing project management technical direction regarding hardware and software support and maintenance for the computer environment, identifying future technical requirements, and planning for information technology needs. The PM-TE will also provide networking for data communications, systems administration, and hardware and software configuration management, ensuring effective information management and sharing. The role requires representing the task order at technical briefings, overseeing the application of corporate and government policies and procedures, and setting conditions for success on all tasks by balancing resource requirements against an executable schedule. Additionally, the Program/Project Manager will provide engineering technical assistance, perform systems analysis, integrate system components, review technical documents, and develop and maintain system operating procedures and checklists. They will also provide consultation on facility infrastructure engineering, including cabling, power, networking, and patching facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Project Management technical direction with respect to hardware and software support and maintenance for the computer environment
  • Identifies future technical requirements and information technology planning
  • Provides networking for data communications, hardware support, systems administration, hardware and software configuration management, information management and information sharing
  • Represents the task order at technical briefings
  • Oversees the application of corporate and Government policies and procedures
  • Sets the conditions for success on all tasks balancing resource requirements against an executable schedule
  • Provides engineering technical assistance, performing systems analysis, integrating system components
  • Reviews technical documents, developing and maintaining system operating procedures and checklists
  • Provides consultation on facility infrastructure engineering (cabling, power, networking and patching facilities)

Requirements

  • Experience in project- and configuration management, and leading small teams of Information Technology (IT) experts
  • Experience with Microsoft Server and Client Operating Systems and supporting network technologies
  • Minimum certification requirements: DoD 8570 - Information Assurance Technical Level 2 (IAT Level II)
  • PMP Certification
  • A bachelor's degree plus 10 years of recent specialized experience, OR, an associate degree plus 15 years of recent specialized experience
  • Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Top-Secret clearance
