The Program/Project Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee multiple contracts in both the federal and private sectors with a leading Information Governance Consulting firm that boasts over 30 years of experience. The ideal candidate will preferably reside in the DC Metro area (DC/VA/MD) to facilitate commuting to client meetings in Washington, D.C. when necessary, although all corporate meetings are conducted virtually. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful management of contracted information management services, which includes a variety of responsibilities ranging from assessments and expert advice to the development of information access strategies and workflow for complex environments. In this role, the Program/Project Manager will be responsible for performing assessments and providing expert recommendations to support information management strategies. The position requires a strong focus on the successful management of contracted services, which encompasses contract procedures, deliverables, planning, program development, and the analysis of problems, strategies, processes, and communication. The candidate will also be tasked with developing information access strategies and workflows that cater to a variety of formats, including electronic documents, web content, paper records, archival material, and databases. Additionally, the role involves designing organization and navigation for web applications, including creating taxonomies that enhance topical browsing capabilities, ensure consistent retrieval, and improve search results. The Program/Project Manager will perform systems and process analysis and design, along with other technical duties as required. Project management responsibilities will include assigning, scheduling, and reviewing the work of subordinates, as well as providing supervisory and technical direction during project design, development, training, and implementation. The candidate will also be responsible for designing conversion guidelines for content based on access requirements, operational priorities, and budget constraints.
