About the position

Responsibilities

  • Lead the agency's efforts to provide outcome-based services for homeless veterans.
  • Conduct intake and assessment, job readiness and life skills training, career counseling, and case management.
  • Manage job placement and job retention support, along with data collection.
  • Fill properties with homeless veterans and complete necessary documentation for housing payments.
  • Provide a meal budget for residents and manage related expenses.
  • Ensure quality control of the organization's programs, including managing budgets and staff activities.
  • Initiate and establish program goals aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Conduct regular reviews with program staff and collaborate with teams to set goals.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from volunteers to management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund and business development in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience in relationship management within the nonprofit sector.
  • Ability to manage budgets, staff, activities, and program outcomes.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to speak conversationally in Spanish or other languages is preferred.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including long hours, weekends, and holidays.

Benefits

  • Salary starting from $45,000 per year with a 10% commission.
  • Full-time contract position with an 8-hour shift.
