About the position

The Program Quality Engineering Intern will assist in developing systems that ensure the quality of products and services in Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems. This role involves implementing tools and processes to meet quality standards throughout the program life cycle, including proposal, design, supply chain, and production phases. The intern will utilize analytical skills to solve quality-related issues and will be expected to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal quality inspections and Customer Source Inspections at the Hudson, NH factory.
  • Support Manufacturing Quality in the factory by applying lean strategies to existing processes.
  • Provide support to Program Quality staff on high-visibility items, such as driving aging nonconformance reports to closure with a cross-functional team.
  • Understand and apply Quality standards and procedures.
  • Participate in sector-wide activities with other interns.
  • Develop an understanding of BAE Systems Quality Management System.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Hardware Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering Management, Mathematics, Physics, Information Systems, or Quality Management.
  • On course to graduate in 2025, 2026, or 2027.

  • Possession of a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
