About the position

The Program Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction planning schedules for an airport capital improvement program. This role involves collaborating with various teams to monitor and report on multiple interdependent projects, ensuring that all scheduling requirements are met and providing objective assessments of schedule delays. The position requires direct experience in scheduling large-scale projects and forensic scheduling to support claims analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed construction planning schedules for new construction and renovation work.
  • Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, and other controls discipline leads to monitor and report on assigned projects.
  • Review designer and contractor submitted schedules and perform necessary analyses.
  • Provide objective assessments of schedule delays and present findings to owners and third parties.
  • Engage in discussions with contractors to understand delay claims and support negotiations for settlements.
  • Perform independent analysis of submitted schedules to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Facilitate coordination on interface issues between multiple projects.
  • Assist with change order and claims disputes, providing analyses of contractor's delay claims.
  • Develop reports that effectively communicate complex project sequencing and forensic assessments.
  • Contribute to the advancement of project goals through collaboration with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field required.
  • 15 years or more of scheduling experience with 10+ years of reporting in support of an active construction program.
  • Direct forensic scheduling experience on large-scale, complex projects (at least $200M value and 3 years duration).
  • Advanced use of Oracle Primavera software (version 6.0 or higher) and related software tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant Professional Licensure & Certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in aviation and large transportation projects is highly desirable.
