About the position

The Program Scheduler, Mid-Level at Cobec Consulting is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed construction planning schedules for various projects under the Terminal Development & Improvement Program at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). This role requires a strong background in program scheduling, particularly in the context of large-scale construction projects, and involves collaboration with project managers and design teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed construction planning schedules for new construction and renovation work.
  • Review project schedule submittals by Design and Contractor Teams.
  • Provide forensic scheduling support for claims analysis on large-scale projects.
  • Implement consistent planning, scheduling, and resource management processes.
  • Identify, monitor, and status project control milestones.
  • Prepare and present schedule performance information to stakeholders.
  • Document and control changes and revisions to the schedule.
  • Prepare presentation charts and reports for project reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field required.
  • 10+ years of relevant Program Scheduling experience, with 5+ years in direct support of an active construction project.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project (MSP) and/or Primavera 6 (P6).
  • Experience in preparing, maintaining, and progressing a schedule using critical path methodology.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in IT or software project scheduling.
  • Experience working with project cost teams.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management engines.
