About the position

Clark College is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual for the position of Program Specialist 2 - Career and Technical Education (CTE) Recruiter within the Basic Education for Adults department. This full-time, permanent role is designed for someone who is excited about supporting students in achieving their educational goals and believes in the value of Career and Technical Education as a viable pathway to higher education. The CTE Recruiter will play a crucial role in increasing the number of students transitioning from English as a Second Language (ESL) and High School Completion programs to college-level certificate and degree programs. In this position, the CTE Recruiter will be responsible for recruitment, outreach, and ongoing navigational support for students pursuing CTE programs at Clark College. The role involves working collaboratively with various departments to ensure a seamless transition for students. The CTE Recruiter will specifically focus on Basic Education for Adults students, including those completing the HS+ diploma and the highest-level ESL courses, as well as high school students in the Clark College service area. This position will also support the CTE Dual Credit program, helping students understand how their high school credits can contribute to their college degree requirements. The CTE Recruiter will report to the Associate Dean of Basic Education for Adults, English, Communications & Humanities, and will coordinate outreach and recruitment efforts with other college departments. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Thursday on campus, with remote work permitted on Fridays. High school visits are an integral part of the role, and the schedule may be adjusted based on the college's needs. This position is grant-funded through the Perkins Grant, part of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, and its continuation is contingent upon annual renewal of grant funding. At Clark College, we prioritize equity, diversity, and inclusion, and we are committed to supporting our employees' growth and development.
