About the position
The Program Specialist at Merakey is responsible for leading a team to provide comprehensive support to individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism. This role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing individualized support plans to ensure that each person is fully supported in their daily life and can gain inclusion in the local community. The Program Specialist works collaboratively with other professionals to deliver a range of services that are consumer-driven and aligned with the agency's mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Lead the individual's team to ensure comprehensive support in everyday life.
- Develop and guide individualized support plans (ISP)/program plans.
- Coordinate and assess the implementation of support services.
- Provide instructional, supportive, supervisory, and administrative services.
- Collaborate with other professionals and team members to ensure required services are in place.
Requirements
- Master's degree or above with 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- Associate's degree or 60 credit hours with 4 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- High school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism.
