About the position
The Program Specialist for the Department of Veterans Affairs Anesthesiology Service (Pain Clinic) is responsible for overseeing all administrative functions related to the Anesthesiology and Pain Clinic programs. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring compliance with various healthcare regulations, and providing training and support to staff. The incumbent will also analyze operational efficiency and recommend improvements to enhance healthcare delivery within the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct administrative functions for the Anesthesiology/Pain Clinic programs.
- Provide ongoing training to staff and ensure compliance with VHA guidelines.
- Collaborate with leaders to optimize healthcare operations and infrastructure.
- Conduct special studies to assess organizational effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Develop internal administrative policies and processes for compliance with regulations.
- Manage staffing levels, recruitment, and hiring actions for the clinic.
- Analyze and evaluate administrative operations and provide recommendations.
Requirements
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-7 level in the Federal service.
- Experience in health information management, data management, and analysis.
- Ability to develop and implement administrative policies and procedures.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in a related field.
