About the position

The Program Specialist at Merakey is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents within a home setting while promoting community involvement. This role involves developing frameworks for staff training and supervision, overseeing program routines, and maintaining accurate records related to client development and staff training.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the safety and well-being of each resident within the home.
• Facilitate community involvement and interaction with residents, staff, and administration.
• Develop a suitable framework for staff training and supervision.
• Supervise the development and implementation of household and individual program routines.
• Ensure established policies and procedures are followed.
• Act as a resource person and role model for residents and staff members.
• Maintain accurate records related to client development and medical concerns.

Requirements

• A master's degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
• An associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a fairly clean record.
• Must have your own transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to complete Behavior Support plans and supporting documentation.

Nice-to-haves
