About the position
The Program Specialist at Merakey is responsible for leading a team to support individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism in their daily lives. This role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing individualized support plans to ensure that services are consumer-driven and aligned with the agency's mission. The Program Specialist works collaboratively with other professionals to provide a range of services, including instructional, supportive, supervisory, and administrative, across various licensed and unlicensed programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the individual's team to ensure full support in everyday life.
- Develop and guide individualized support plans (ISP)/program plans.
- Coordinate and assess the implementation of support services.
- Provide ongoing instructional, supportive, supervisory, and administrative services.
- Collaborate with other professionals and team members to ensure required services are in place.
Requirements
- Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work experience with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years of work experience with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- High school diploma or GED and 6 years of work experience with persons with intellectual disabilities or autism.
