About the position

The Program Technical Analyst will support the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy. This role focuses on ensuring the Department of Defense effectively addresses industrial base issues and supports the National Security Innovation Base. The analyst will engage in critical material analysis, batteries, and advanced/additive manufacturing, providing essential support for program investments.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating issues and providing recommendations related to cost, schedule, and performance for current and planned program investments.
  • Developing written communications products such as briefings, talking points, and read-ahead materials.
  • Providing support for the program in areas such as critical material, batteries, and advanced/additive manufacturing.
  • Supporting requirements generation, verification, and validation for planned program investments.
  • Planning, organizing, and/or leading projects including monitoring project cost, schedule, and performance.

Requirements

  • Current Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 3 or more years of relevant progressive experience supporting industrial base businesses, agencies, or organizations.
  • Prior experience planning, organizing, and/or leading projects including monitoring project cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Prior experience working with senior leaders, managers, and stakeholders to drive project performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts and methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Prior experience providing presentations and/or briefings on technical materials and information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process and project planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
