About the position

The Program Test Lead is responsible for leading small to medium distributed testing teams, ensuring quality assurance processes are followed, and managing client relations at the project level. This role involves coordinating testing projects across various departments, customizing QA processes, and implementing metrics for decision-making. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and compliance with testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium distributed testing teams, typically employing Test Leads to oversee sub-teams.
• Conduct cost estimates and report testing and overruns. Provide direction to teams on quality, quality measurement and process guidelines.
• Coordinate with various departments for testing projects.
• Orchestrate activities of multiple testing teams that share resources to ensure synergies are leveraged and conflicts are avoided.
• Customize organizational standard QA process and implement it in projects.
• Identify meaningful metrics for testing, establish metrics program and use collected metrics information for decision-making.
• Mitigate risks and issues escalated by testing team, Test Leads or other stakeholders.
• Champion a ‘continuous improvement' approach at project and organizational level.
• Manage client relations at the project level.
• Facilitate Root Cause Analysis of defects at the application level and work with Release coordinator to drive improvements.
• Define and Enforce Test Standards. Ensure compliance to testing related guidelines, standards and policies within the team.
• Review the work done by the team members and assume complete ownership for the quality of the deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, release management or similar
• Industry-recognized certification in the areas of Project Management, QA and testing (e.g., CSTE, CSQA, CQE, or PMP) preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience using test automation tools such as HP Quick Test Pro, Rational Functional Tester, Compuware QA Run
• Must have an Android or iOS device which is compatible with the free Microsoft Authenticator app.
