The Programmer Analyst 2 position at the University of New Mexico involves providing technical support and administration for a variety of applications, including the Banner ERP and SIS system. Responsibilities

  • Fulfill service requests such as accounts and web-hosting requests.
  • Respond to incident tickets related to Banner and other applications by gathering facts, researching issues, and analyzing potential solutions.
  • Work with team members and customers to resolve issues and fulfill requests.
  • Assist in developing and improving support documentation for new and existing applications.
  • Use discretionary judgment to perform analysis of business objectives and develop solutions for moderately advanced problems.
  • Participate in the division's on-call process, requiring availability after hours for two to three weeks a year.
  • Complete custom application modifications to enhance functionality per requests and proper approvals received from the functional steward.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology, programming skills, hardware, and applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Experience supporting and managing a wide variety of applications, including working with end-users, developers, and technical staff to resolve issues.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in writing to end users and other support staff.
