This position is crucial in directing the overall user experience for interacting with the delivered product. The UI/UX Analyst will work closely with the Business Analyst and Technical Lead to deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements. The role requires a hybrid work schedule, with the analyst expected to be onsite two days a week and work from home three days a week. Candidates must be local at the time of submission, as there is no remote-only option available. In this role, the UI/UX Analyst will collaborate directly with the project team, which includes business analysts, business owners, solution architects, tech leads, developers, and QA personnel. The analyst will ensure a comprehensive understanding of the requirements, functionality, size, scalability, and usability of the IT solution. This involves examining existing business processes and systems to develop a full representation of the system's interface design and usability. The analyst will participate in requirement gathering meetings, Joint Application Modeling (JAM) sessions, and brainstorming sessions with business owners to identify product usability concerns and desires. The UI/UX Analyst will lead the overall visual design and usability of the product, providing expertise and guiding the project team through applicable design patterns, screen layout decisions, and usability testing. The analyst will advocate for the end user, consistently working to improve the overall design and usability of the delivered product within budget constraints. Responsibilities also include creating sketches, wireframes, and mockups of user interface screens that adhere to the State of Michigan Applications and Site Standards, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The analyst will perform usability and accessibility testing to ensure compliance with UI/UX best practices and ADA standards, creating and facilitating usability tests with intended users and iterating screen designs accordingly.
