About the position

In this position, you will develop and maintain applications, reporting and scripts to provide seamless availability of data from manufacturing machines to analytic solutions for the Engineering department. You will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, and Information Technology to ensure solutions scale to company requirements.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops and maintains applications, reporting and scripts.
- Identifies application requirements by interviewing users, analyzing existing solutions, evaluating data sources, and mapping operational processes.
- Creates custom user interfaces, software components, queries, etc. for use in Operations and Engineering environments.
- Determines improvements to systems based on business requirements, performance, and access methods.
- Supports computer hardware/software extensions to manufacturing equipment, as needed.
- Supports users by conducting application training and resolving data or system issues.
- Collaborates across functions on project goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned by department management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience in web-based application development
- Expertise with SQL queries and understanding of data structures
- Experience creating data analysis and visualization solutions
- Understanding of information security standards and approaches
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Ability to work both as an individual contributor and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
Nice-to-haves
- Experience using Visual Studio
- Experience integrating data from Direct Numerical Control (DNC) machining equipment
- Experience with SQL Server, SQL Server Report Services, C# and HTML
- Experience with operational data reporting & analysis
- Familiarity with software development and testing methodologies
- Working knowledge of Project Management skills and tools
