About the position

The Programmer Analyst for IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) at Hartz Mountain is responsible for delivering technical solutions that meet business requirements through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This role requires expertise in TM1 Planning Analytics, focusing on developing and integrating solutions that enhance business decision-making. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility between in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect solutions using IBM Planning Analytics Advanced Local version 2.0.9.17, focusing on Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) development and integration.
  • Develop Multidimensional TM1 Cubes, Views, Dimensions, Active Forms, Turbo Integrator Processes, Complex Rules, Feeders, Drill-through, and TM1Chores.
  • Write batch scripts, shell scripts, and TI processes to automate schedules, Cognos TM1 Services restart, and data uploads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and align TM1 capabilities to meet those needs by developing custom applications and modules.
  • Provide TM1 development techniques and guidance on TM1 best practices, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement major projects that support the approved Business Plan, delivering reliable and efficient business solutions.
  • Provide 24/7 application availability and production support, including troubleshooting application issues and performing software upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and specialized training.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in TM1 design, architecture, and development of solutions with proven experience in Corporate Performance Management, Financial Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics solutions.
  • Expert level proficiency with IBM TM1 surrounding Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and Planning Analytics Excel (PAX).
  • Strong background in finance and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills (MS Project, PowerPoint presentations).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
