About the position
The Programmer Analyst III position at UTHealth involves developing and maintaining web-based applications that support clinical research within the Coordinating Center for Clinical Trials. The role requires strong programming skills, particularly in Microsoft technologies, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of clinical trial applications.
Responsibilities
- Consults with CCCT Principal Investigators and Project Managers to analyze requirements for developing and maintaining Asp.Net web-based applications.
- Assists in creating electronic case report forms and surveys using appropriate tools.
- Maintains existing Asp.Net applications that support clinical research activities.
- Designs, develops, and deploys MS SQL Server databases to support clinical research activities.
- Designs, develops, and deploys reports using Microsoft tools integrated with MS SQL Server databases to meet study data analysis and reporting requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or relevant experience in lieu of education.
- Three and a half years of programming experience.
- Experience with Microsoft software development tools and languages: Visual Studio, Asp.Net, Visual Basic.Net, C#, and MS Transact SQL.
Nice-to-haves
- Three years of experience in requirements analysis and development of web-based applications using Microsoft tools and languages.
- Familiarity with REDCap.
