About the position

As a Programmer Analyst Specialist at FIS Global, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative fintech products that transform the financial landscape. This position involves collaborating with a diverse team to design, implement, and support software applications, utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial loan servicing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of Programmers/Analysts.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads, Technical Analysts, and Software Developers to design, code, test, implement, maintain, and support applications in LANSA and Visual LANSA.
• Establish operational objectives and work plans, delegating assignments to subordinates.
• Implement strategic policies for selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Assist in team code reviews and provide feedback for improved efficiency.
• Produce business requirements and technical detail design documents.
• Make recommendations for the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
• Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications.
• Maintain, test, and integrate application components.
• Ensure successful implementation of system improvements and adherence to coding standards.
• Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs, writing technical specifications.
• Conduct planning, high and low-level analysis, and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Software Development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Technical skills in LANSA for iSeries, Visual LANSA, ACBS, SQL, AS400, and iSeries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with clients.
• Knowledge of modern, end-to-end systems development life cycles.
• Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience and understanding of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
• Experience with ETL tools or data conversion.
