About the position

The Programmer/Analyst position at Virginia's Community College System serves as the primary technical lead supporting 23 colleges and 2 administrative support offices. The role focuses on the configuration, integration, and management of the TeamDynamix platform, ensuring seamless operations across various departments. Responsibilities include infrastructure design, project management, and providing advanced technical leadership in managing complex integrations. The position requires a strong emphasis on ITIL and ITSM configurations, change management, and delivering technical guidance to optimize enterprise applications and integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical lead for TeamDynamix platform across 23 colleges and 2 administrative support offices.
  • Ensure seamless configuration, integration, and management of the TeamDynamix platform.
  • Provide advanced technical leadership in managing complex integrations utilizing iPaaS solutions.
  • Oversee infrastructure design, configuration management, and operational support for ticketing systems.
  • Apply scheduled maintenance, including vendor-supplied or in-house developed patches and fixes.
  • Manage the release process for new or enhanced applications, including planning and scheduling updates.
  • Deliver detailed implementation documentation and guidelines for system integrations.
  • Focus on change management to ensure successful migration through development, testing, training, and production environments.
  • Monitor application performance and conduct reviews to ensure efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Lead technical efforts and identify opportunities for system improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying analytical skills involving large-scale applications with distributed servers.
  • Strong technical skills in managing private and public cloud software.
  • Proven ability to define and develop solutions based on business requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with current releases of PeopleTools, PeopleSoft Financial Management, or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Cobol, Oracle Development Tools, SQR, Java, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Experience delivering and supporting student-serving applications, including Learning Management Systems.
