About the position

The Programmer Analyst position involves developing, deploying, and supporting SCADA systems and automation control systems. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with software developers and domain experts. The candidate will manage multiple projects, participate in a rotational on-call schedule, and travel to remote sites for training and support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and support SCADA systems and automation control systems.
• Collaborate with software developers and domain experts in a team environment.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Participate in a rotational 7-day on-call schedule with team members.
• Travel to remote sites for training, projects, and support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting SCADA systems and automation control systems.
• Proficiency in one or more SCADA platforms such as WonderWare, Ignition, AutoSol (ACM), XSPOC.
• Proficiency in one or more Firewall platforms such as Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, Eagle One.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Ability to work well with field I&E staff and Houston development support.
• IT knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems and applications such as MS SQL 2012.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of building, deploying, and supporting Ignition screens using Python.
• Prior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
• Experience with large-scale data management systems.
• Experience working on teams following Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience participating in the user-centered design process.
• Working knowledge of AutoSol (ACM), ACP ThinManager, Win911, and Ignition.
• Experience working with RTUs (ROC, TotalFlow), PLC's, and related HMI hardware and software.
• 3 years of experience working with WonderWare's software suite (IAS, InTouch, InSQL).
• Understanding of field radio and network communications.
• Knowledge of field data capture and production accounting systems.
• MQTT knowledge and experience.
