About the position

The Programmer Analyst at Aultman Health Foundation is responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and supporting IBM-Mainframe-based computer application systems. This role involves collaborating with users and IT staff to analyze operational processes and engineer applications that meet project needs, ensuring effective integration across various hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and application programming.
  • Utilize Microsoft Access and Office products (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ensure accurate program documentation.
  • Show knowledge of integration and interfacing across applications.
  • Engage with users to understand and define needs/problems.
  • Participate in a 24x7 support rotation, distinguishing critical needs from less urgent ones.
  • Follow through from analysis to problem resolution, modifying software as necessary.

Requirements

  • Collegiate Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 24 months of relevant experience.
  • Technical expertise in Cobol, CICS, ADSPLUS, VSAM, z/OS JCL, and associated support tools.
  • Experience supporting and enhancing McKesson Health Quest products (Patient Accounting, Patient Management, and Medical Records).
  • Integration experience in a multi-platform environment using real-time HL7 interfaces and ANSI 4010/5010 transaction sets.
