About the position

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves collaborating with team members to develop and maintain applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development and be able to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 8 and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate).
  • Good knowledge of databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
  • Extensive experience with the Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs.
  • Proficient in using Git for version control.
  • Ability to write efficient SQL queries and optimize algorithms and data structures.
  • Familiarity with AWS EKS and/or Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience in application monitoring and optimization techniques.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of production errors.
  • Understanding of CI/CD best practices and build pipeline troubleshooting.
  • Experience integrating with Cloud/SaaS applications and legacy systems.
  • Knowledge of integration architecture concepts and patterns.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Python scripting.
  • Experience with Kibana or other logging frameworks.
