About the position

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead application development efforts in an onsite role in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in Java and related frameworks, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 8 and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate).
  • Good knowledge of databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
  • Extensive experience with the Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs.
  • Proficient in using Git for version control.
  • Ability to write efficient and optimized SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with AWS EKS and/or Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD best practices and troubleshooting build pipelines.
  • Production support experience and knowledge of logging frameworks like Kibana.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with integration architecture concepts and patterns, including Microservices and Event Driven Architecture.
  • Ability to write scripts in Python or Java.
