About the position

Capgemini is seeking a Senior React JS Developer to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. This role focuses on developing user-facing features and optimizing web applications for performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React.js and related technologies, with a commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences across various devices and browsers.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new user-facing features and components using React's component-based architecture.
  • Optimizing web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing code for maximum performance.
  • Providing code documentation and inputs to technical documents.
  • Conducting and participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams to define project requirements and scope.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in React.js and React.js workflows (Flux/Redux).
  • Proficient in React.js and its core principles, with a strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Strong UI hands-on experience with React JS and front-end technologies.
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating them into React applications.
  • Version control skills using Git and experience with collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS).
  • Knowledge of web design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress, Webflow, and Figma.
  • Experience in Oracle PL SQL.
  • Ability to work in an AGILE environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Bootstrap, React hooks, and jQuery.
  • Knowledge of sophisticated web design tools and applications.
