About the position

Capgemini is seeking a Senior React JS Developer to lead the development of user-facing features and components in an onsite role in Philadelphia. The position focuses on optimizing web applications for performance and scalability while ensuring a seamless user experience across devices. The developer will collaborate with multi-functional teams, conduct code reviews, and provide documentation to support technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features and components using React's component-based architecture.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for maximum performance across devices and browsers.
• Provide code documentation and inputs to technical documents.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define project requirements and scope.

Requirements

• Proven experience in React.js and its workflows (Flux/Redux).
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 with a strong understanding of related web technologies.
• Strong UI development experience with React JS and front-end technologies.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating them into React applications.
• Version control skills using Git and experience with collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with content management systems (CMS) like Sitecore.
• Knowledge of sophisticated web design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Figma.
